I tried downloading the free trial version (for Linux), but discovered
it didn't support my Fuji S9500. It did support my Olympud SP-350
compact though, so I had a bit of a play. Seems fairly comprehensive,
but the workflow took a bit of getting my head around, and I don't want
to keep chopping and changing, so I'm back to UFRaw and The GIMP.

Maybe you should try downloading the trial version from

You may find this useful, especially if you shoot Nikon:

Bibble has never had the image quality for me..... it just can't
produce the same quality, highly detailed results that I get with
Capture One..... then again, nothing that I have used can (I have
tried everything BTW) .... even Adobe's new Lightroom fails to match
Capture One's IQ.

As another poster said... download the trial versions first and see
what they produce.

IMO Bibble also produces a lower quality than Digikam.

is that the case as well for captureone LE? Or is it only the
super-expensive Pro version?
