From: lovell28 on 4 Jul 2007 07:33 I am new to this group, but can anybody tell me if and where I can get an internal bettry for my T90. I really dont want to part with it, I have had a great deal of fun with this camera. If all fails I will have to put up with Digital.

If all fails I will have to put up with Digital. The T90 is still widely appreciated as a fine system camera. I think you will find that the battery is one of the many standard watch battery types. As you are in the UK, if you know the details of the battery I suggest that you try Maplin Electronics: http://www.maplin.co.uk/ If you cannot identify the battery, it may be worth asking the question on a Canon FD forum such as the one at Photo.net: http://www.photo.net/bboard/forum?topic_id=1546 or at the Canon forum on the Amateur Photographer web site: http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php Alternatively, Fixation is a London-based Canon authorised repairer that employs Canon UK-trained staff: http://www.fixationuk.com/ Finally, here is a link to a .pdf copy of the Canon T90 service manual which should help if you want to fit the battery yourself: http://www.canonfd.com/t90serv/T90service.pdf Are you aware that there is a photo newsgroup for the UK at: news:uk.rec.photo.misc

I thought the reviews said that the camera would still function if the battery failed but would not "remember" settings when the main battery pack was removed. Regards, Ian.

Except that the OP lives in the UK, and the airmail shipping costs both ways will cost substantially more than the camera is worth. |
