Annika being a notorious Canon shill, I doubt this post was anything but
a troll...
(However much I like Zeiss lenses)

If Bret's a shill, at least he doesn't call himself "Can_On Nut". :^)

While maybe not completely agreeing with you, the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 was
also made for Rolleiflex and is arguably my absolutely favorite lens
look-wise (unfortunately, being big & heavy, doesn't get used as much as
I'd like).
The Leica R Summicron 35mm comes close in look & signature with a much
smaller package and is what I usually use...

Also the Zeiss 35mm & 85mm f/2.8 are fantastic, tiny lenses (at least
the Rolleiflex 85mm has a different lens scheme from the C/Y one) which
I haven't really found the equal of in any other line for light &
compact SLR use.

Hey, at least I don't constantly harp on how Rolleflex (or Leica) are
the greatest and most wonderful systems in the world...

Actually, I'd hardly reccomend the Rolleiflex 35mm SLR system except to
those willing to live creatively and dangerously... ;-)
