From: dorayme on 16 Apr 2010 17:10 At some stage, I seem to have lost (again?) Myriad Roman and I thought maybe I am fed up of constantly working around this loss (details available on request). I have done a little research and at least for Mac Illustrator CS (Version 11), the fonts are supposed to have been installed in System Folder/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts/Reqrd/Base folder (Mac OS X): Myriad Roman Myriad Italic Myriad Myriad Bold Italic Myriad Bold Where can I definitely get these fonts? They are quite missing on the whole of my Powermac G4 on all hard disks. -- dorayme

Whenever you like.

Whenever you like. Please do, I would appreciate it. My email address is good. I have a Macbook latest on Snow and I have just installed a newly bought CS4 but the same thing: there is no Myriad at all at System Folder/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Fonts/Reqrd/Base folder I mention because I would have grabbed it from there. I think there is something going on here I don't understand. I have no experience yet with CS4 but on firing up my CS (version 11) on my work desktop it is forever complaining it cannot find Myriad Roman. Even swatch palettes seem to need it. It is not that I particularly want this font family for itself. More to stop the program from complaining to me! Did your MR just come installed with the program? Perhaps whatever I did or did not do to lose it on the older Powermac G4 has infected the Macbook because I did migrate (using migration assistant) a lot of stuff from the G4 to the Macbook? But don't worry about this. -- dorayme

I should add that I have plenty of files with names like "MyriadPro-BlackCond.otf" under fonts/ (as in the above path) but nothing with these names under /fonts/Reqrd/Base/ I understand that the otf is a cross platform package but for some reason my Illustrator CS (version 11) at least is not finding a Myriad Roman that it is satisfied with? -- dorayme
