If you feel you are right, try photographing some officers and see
what happens.

I don't feel I am right I KNOW I am right having photographed Police
officers on Sunday. Also Saturday and many other occasions previously.

I have had pictures of Armed police on the front cover of a newspaper...
won a Calumet competition with a picture of Policemen at a military
event...

So I have photographed police officers as recently as 3 days ago....
what is more they will be pictures that are published tomorrow morning.

The decision to arrest is made by a constable (unless there is a
arrest warrant from a court), and therefore it depends on how the
individual officers feels at that time. The constable is empowered to
arrest someone taking pictures of officers and this has been before
countless times.
