Click-Bang?
I thought I'd tell you what happened this evening. I was out with my wife in the car and went to a place called Grangemouth (in Scotland). It's a huge oil refinery and looks like something space-age or from another planet. As we drove though, I stuck the camera out the window, but before long we were being t... 19 Jul 2007 08:42
Anyone using Bible Pro for raw images?
Brian wrote: Just curious if anyone is using the Bible Pro software for working with raw images. Been looking around at different apps and like what I read about theirs, but I'd like to get some feedback from anyone that's using it or has used it. The pros or cons from you. Leica lens on Panasonic subcompact - any good?
Many years ago we saw Nikon rebrand Nikkormat lenses as Nikkor. It diluted some of the brand value of Nikon but in the end all was ok. Now some Panasonic subcompact digital cameras have Leica lenses. (I've only just noticed but maybe they have done it for a long time.) http://panasonic.co.jp/pavc/global/lum... 24 Jun 2007 23:32
Ten most important photos every photography student should be familiar with
Hi - I'm taking a little photography-appreciation survey in the spirit of recent "best novels of the 20th century" surveys, as well as John Silber's controversial list of literature classics that he believes all high-school students should read before graduation. Thank you for your input! In your opinion, wha... 8 Jun 2007 13:54
.KDC - kodak raw decoders verses dcraw and ufraw.
Hi ~ I have a kodak camera, P 850. (which I've outgrown). Is the kodak software better than dcraw or ufraw to decode raw .KDC files? Since I live with the penguins in linux-land, I have no idea of how the bundled software compares to dcraw for decoding the proprietary raw formats. The camera's thumbnail migh... 21 May 2007 11:53

taking digital images in black and white mode
>From what I've been told, the sensor in a digital camera measures only light intensity, not color, and so in order to capture a color photograph three filter (red, blue, and green) have to be rotated in front of the sensor (basically taking three pictures). So, my question is this: if I'm shooting in black and wh... 1 Jun 2007 03:16
Ektacolor 160 NC
Bought a 5 pak of 120 format C-41 Kodak "Ektacolor 160 NC" with a Sep-2007 expiry date for a few $ yesterday. Anybody know this film? Is it a predecessor to Portra 160 NC? New PC - which specs for CS2?
Hi, I am a photographer about to get a new PC and would love to have some idea on what to look for to run CS2 as quickly and efficiently as possible. It's currently taking ages to even load my photos on my old PC and so I am hoping to increase my speed and performance. The only posts I can find about this tend to ... 8 Mar 2007 16:46
