Slide scanning disappointment

Sony A330 with Minolta AF 28-135 zoom
I recently got a Sony A-330 DSLR, primarily so I could use my Minolta AF 28-135mm zoom off my old Maxxum. I recently asked a friend to look through my pictures and select the ones that they liked best, there were about 100 pictures some digital and some taken with film, roughly 50/50.
