Viewfinder Magnifier Suggestions....? Sony A-100 DSLR
> You're trying to put a band-aid on a gaping and gushing wound. So you're suggesting dump my $500 camera body and buy a more expensive one when I was lucky to buy what I have? There are some of us out there on tight budgets who just want to make the best of what we have. I was lucky to buy the A100... maybe w... 12 Jul 2010 13:00
Proof Dpreview/magazines desperate
First, they re-engineered their site so you can no longer kill the Java- based ads without killing the forum messages. Second, they posted a sample gallery for a product next to no one is going to buy, the Ricoh GRX superzoom module. Some time ago, they refused to review the Olympus E-400 with the excuse that ... 4 Jul 2010 19:57
What's with the multiple names?
Why is the Canon T2i also called a 550D and a Kiss X4? Can't camera makers settle on one simple, universal name? I believe something similar is the case with car models. Why?? ... 5 Jul 2010 04:36

However, I've expanded the mandate to "your area," which can be to... 19 Jul 2010 22:25

Ugg! Ricoh 28-300mm superzoom module for the GXR (horrific at 800ISO)
See, if you only buy this camera and use the A12 module (50mm lens slow at f2.8) and the APS sensor, it's pretty good. But the other two modules with zooms are AWFUL! Both have TINY P&S-style sensors. This shot was just beyond 800 ISO (they must have used an auto ISO setting) and the noise and noise removal rend... 2 Jul 2010 19:07
