Wiki info may be incomplete, anonymous cowardice
I post saying something about Islam, it does not match up w/ what Wiki says,so... I am a hate-filled bigot! I'm not really, I just know a little more than is on the Wiki entry on Islam. That's not hard to do - the page is does not go into great detail. Anyway, Islam is having an impact on "our" world that w... 22 Jan 2010 14:09

EF 50/1.8 AF Experiment?
The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II "Nifty Fifty" has a reputation for two shortcomings, 1) softness at wide apertures (OK from f/2.8), and 2) erratic focus under difficult conditions (low light, shallow DOF). Many people claim that 2) is a result of the crudeness of the cheap focussing motor and electronics in the len... 24 Jan 2010 18:10

"Exposing to the right" is over exposed, what now?
I set my exposure to slide the histogram to the right, without clipping ( when I have time), to capture the most tonal levels . So, now when I am editing the photos they are over exposed(not clipped). A sunrise is a good example. The deep colors are washed out. The obvious fix(to me anyway) in Lightroom or CS4 is t... 19 Oct 2009 12:00
EOS 7D and resolution
18 MP is perhaps a stretch ... about 4 microns per pixel versus about 6 microns, which was recently the low-end limit for a reasonable tradeoff between SNR and resolution. I like the gapless micro-lenses and the shrinking of the surrounding support electronics at each photo diode site. But, is the smaller phot... 29 Oct 2009 12:07
Samyang lenses?
"No One" <none(a)none.invalid> wrote in message news:h93brl$gsf$1(a)aioe.org... Samyang AFAIK makes Phoenix and Quantray lenses Phoenix, yes.
