The Rokton Circular Sensor
DPReview says that Rokton has developed a round sensor that is 43 mm in diameter -- the same as the diagonal on 35 mm frame. They plan on putting it in their new mirrorless DSLR that will have interchangeable lens mounts -- you will be able to use nearly every lens for 35 mm cameras ever made. Yes, I know. ... 2 Apr 2010 11:33
Ultra high end rangefinder coming?
http://43rumors.com/jeff-ascough-is-testing-a-new-rangefinder-microfourthirds-or-not/ This is interesting. The Canon wedding shooter Jeff Ascough just revealed that he is testing a brand new rangefinder. I highly doubt that he is talking about a Canon camera. Not one of our sources ever heard something about it.... 9 Apr 2010 03:29

Best 5Dii frame rate - Now I have a choice?
I live in UK, the heart of PAL land, yet I can't see much reason to set my 5Dii to anything but 29.97 fps. Am I missing something? I'll be mainly doing vids for family, exported from Final Cut to DVD or Blu-ray snippets on DVD, maybe a little Vimeo and YouTube if I ever get good enough 1. I never want to output to... 20 Mar 2010 17:48
What about a new version of Tamron 70-200?
I have try this lens in my Nikon D700 and I am very pleased by his sharpness. I can not spend 1.700-1.800 euros that the new Nikon 70-200 costs in Greece, so I wait for a new version of the Tamron with a fast internal AF motor and a stabilizer (VC). Is there any info (or rumor) when Tamron will release this imp... 21 Mar 2010 12:46
