This is a male - the females are usually brighter in colour: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/33074451 From comments I have read there seemed to be no understanding of why ... 10 Mar 2010 03:07

Canon 5D2 question The other day I was out shooting with a fairly low battery supply. After having read the manual, I supposed that the display would blink when it got low enough to be problematic. It did not. Instead, Live View quit, and shortly afterward the camera shut down displaying ERR with no number. So I shut it off, fini... 10 Mar 2010 02:01

Olympus users and Crack addiction Something must explain why some of them think a camera is a new Olympus E-5 when it is clearly (if it's anything at all) a NIKON! The Olympus DSLR users are so despondent over Olympus plans to ditch the DSLRs they are seeing things. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1022&message=34717843 ... 6 Mar 2010 19:38

How does ISO setting work? I know relatively little about the technical workings of digital photography, and from what I have read here, some of you know a great deal. Samsung NX10 images (30mm prime) look pretty nice Definitely has an edge over the 4/3rds stuff when it comes to shallow DOF. I've heard all the arguments from the 4/3rds shooters (I shoot it) and APS still has an edge when it comes to this. These images from the owner of the Samsung are much reduced in size, but tonality looks nice. http://forums.dpreview.com... 7 Mar 2010 04:14

The general rule is that faster optics are exponentially more expensive to fabricate to the same quality as slower optics. Which is why an f1.4 lens costs ... 6 Mar 2010 18:32 |
