From: Shane on 3 Feb 2010 20:25 I purchased a Tamron-F 2x c-af1 BBAR MC7 teleconvertor for my Canon XSI. I have two Canon lenses, an EFS 55-250 and an EFS 18-55. The teleconvertor fits fine on the camera, but neither lens will fit down into the teleconverter. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shane.

The lens needs to have a deep recess to fit, usually longer lenses... Teleconverters are generally not that useful for slow consumer zooms like that anyways, so even if it fit, the results probably wouldn't be worth much. See if you can return it. PS I don't know Canon gear but this sounds like the same issue.

This is a common problem. Teleconverters are not designed to work with those lenses. Neither lens would produce acceptable results with a teleconverter in any case. If you can return the teleconverter for refund or exchange, do it now. If that isn't possible, advertise it on eBay or Craigslist.

As for the latter - that's silly. > > If you can return the teleconverter for refund or exchange, do it now. > If that isn't possible, advertise it on eBay or Craigslist. > |
