From: infiniteMPG on 22 Jun 2010 12:04 Update on this with the Rokinon 800mm and my Sony A100. Finally decided I was not going to ever get a decent shot with this lens so was looking and saw the seller had put a note in with the lens stating that if we were not completely satisfied to contact them. Did that last night not expecting much but they wrote back pretty quickly and said the lens was NOT compatible with the A100. GEEZE! They offered a full refund on the purchase so will be out shopping again soon. Thanks for all the input but I think in all this I have decided that my heart is near and ear with macro photography more then telephoto photography so I'll probably be adding to my macro toys then shopping for a big telephoto lens :O)

Thanks for the update. A good result and a wise decision. The experience has clearly not been wasted on you!

I agree, have to step out of your comfort zone occasionally to stretch your legs :O) > The experience has clearly not been wasted on you! Lesson learned. Decided the money will be better spent on a better view finder magnifier and a macro slide mount for my tripod.... and possibly a macro light ring, too. Thanks to all for the input! |
