Which lens for the festival?
I'm going to a festival next weekend - <http://www.thelaugharneweekend.com/> - and I'm wondering what lens to take. Of the few pictures I kept of last year's festival with a K100D and (I think) a 50mm lens, I cropped most of them. I don't think that I did very well with most of the indoor shots. They all ne... 6 Apr 2010 14:14
When your photos are just too good.
Apparently this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1262516/Boots-refuses-print-photography-students-snaps--GOOD.html is true even though it's printed in the good old Daily Mail. According to a previous tutor of hers who I happen to know she really is that good! Aside from the total nonsense of Boo... 5 Apr 2010 20:39
Lenses for Nikon D70
I could do with telephoto and wide angle lenses to compliment the zoom lens on my D70. I only need them for occasional use (seriously only about twice a year) and the images will mainly be used on the web. Would anyone have any recommendations of reasonably priced lenses? -- Geoff Berrow (Put thecat out to ema... 7 Apr 2010 14:42

Can I have some advise please? I am a Nikon D5000 user and am saving RAW images of about 10meg in size. I understand that TIF is the best quality compressed file type but they convert to over 30meg in size. Is this normal and should I be using TIF please. ... 1 Apr 2010 06:51

Mr. & Mrs. Spider - macro quality
I am amazed by the technical quality of this shot at http://www.oz-greetings.com.au/photo It was taken on Macro setting/automatic WITHOUT tripod. The camera was held by ancient hands on a rather windy day. The spidersÂ’ web was constantly blown about. You can click on photo to enlarge. My mid-range Panasonic Lumix D... 14 Mar 2010 09:51

Decent compact for timelapse - recommendation?
Can anyone recommend a good compact digital camera with an interval timer? No other features matter at all, just decent image quality and the ability to shoot something like 1 frame every 3 seconds for an hour. Plan is to build a strut mounting for a light aircraft, get it CAA approved as a "minor modification... 22 Mar 2010 06:07
The sky with lines
I'm trying to print out an image. The lighter parts of the sky have an irritating series of darker lines across them; the lines match the path of the print head across the paper. <http://emberapp.com/evildmp/images/scan-1/sizes/o> The lines are almost exactly 1mm apart in the actual print. In this cropped s... 8 Mar 2010 13:06
